Ralph *FitzGeremund (CLARK) *Fitz-Germund (LYSONS)

KERRY calls him Ralph de Hanselin, the son of Germund, Lord of Ockbrook.
He was lord of a moiety of the manor of Ockbrook and Alvaston (including Ambaston, Alvaston, Elvaston and Thulston) (CLARK).

The grandfather of Matilda de Salicosa Mara, flourished 1135-54.

The nobleman who found the Hermit while out hunting and gave him *clothes, food, tools (WHITE) *the tithe of a mill at *Borrowash (WARD, WHITE, LYSONS) *Alvaston.  The tithe remained in the hands of the Dale Abbey canons (CLARK).

Kerry said he used to live at Boyah (in Reliquary), but there is no evidence for this (C39).

The father of *Margaret (SALTMAN) *Margery who married Serlo I de Grendon and of William fitzRalph who first appears 1165/6 (C40).

He is mentioned in local charters 1156/7 and 1166.
