Hermit's Well.

A stone-sided pool in the field to the east of the church.

It had a curative reputation (WARD).
It was supposed to effect cures on Good Friday between 12 and 3 p.m (CLARK).
The hermit is said to have blessed his discovery, saying it would be a cure for ills for everyone. Another legend says the well never runs dry (CLARK, quoting WARD).

The well is not now seen bubbling from its original source, for that is covered by the debris worked down and trodden into the sides of the original channel by the hoofs of cattle through many long years. The bed of the depression is now a quagmire, producing a luxuriant crop of watercress (KERRY).
