Snelshall Priory / Cell

In Buckinghamhire.

It was dedicated to St Leonard and granted to Lavendon Abbey by Sybil de Aungervill (Dangerville);  there was a cell of canons here in the time of Robert, bishop of Lincoln.

The cell was abandoned after 1203-4, and by 1219 it had become a Benedictine priory which survived till 1535  (KNOWLES).
