Richard de Normanton  ruled 8 years minus 10 days from September *1287 (WARD, M) *1289 (H83, PAGE, C40C) to September *1295 (WARD, M) *1297 (H83, PAGE, C40C). He was said to be a squanderer and very burdensome to his successors (H83), and to permit dilapidations (FOX).
 
1282 participated, contrary to the statutes of the order, in the baptism at Stapleford, of Richard, son and heir of Hugh le Heryz.
 
1283 involved in fight over Ockbrook Mill (see Abbot 6).
 
Summoned by Edward 1 (C41) to parliament (C41E) in an attempt to impose clerical taxation in 1294, 1295 and 1296.

Present at the Westminster parliamentary session of September 1294 and 3 days later petitioned the king for free warren in all Dale Abbey's demesne lands of Stanley, Ockbrook, Boyah, Alvaston, Kirk Hallam, Grif (near Wirksworth) and Bathley (near Newark) (C41E).

John de Lincoln  ruled 6 years from September *1295 (WARD, M) *1297 (H83, PAGE, C41) to September *1301 (WARD, M) *1303 (H83, PAGE).
 
Summoned for military service overseas in 1297 (C41).
 
1299 party to a covenant in the Chartulary (H83).  This may be the one mentioned in C41 dated 1300 respecting common pasture in Alvaston.  
 
Summoned by Edward I in an attempt to impose clerical taxation in 1300, 1301 and twice in 1302 (C41)
