1510 Robert Aston is vicar of Ilkeston (C41).
 
6 Sep 1519 Thomas Gilbert witnesses the election of John Sheffield to the abbacy of Beauchief;  in that year he succeeded John Sheffield as vicar of Norton and retained that living until his death in 1547.
 
1536 William Brampton (possibly spurious) was accused of incontinence with 5 married women by Drs Legh and Layton.
 
1538 16 canons (PREMONS).  The surrender was signed by John Bebe abbot, Richard Wheytteley prior and 15 other canons (PAGE).
 
1542 former canon William Smith died at Stanley Grange (C39).
 
1552                5 canons were dead (C40).
James Cheryholme (signed deed of surrender and appears on pension record 1552, Feb 1555/6);  is this the same man who was chantry priest of St Nicholas’ chantry in St Peter’s, Derby, whose pension was in arrears in 1552?

Ralph Harrison was curate of Breaston.
 
The patronage of Heanor was sold just before the dissolution to Nicholas Powtrell and John Malyn. The other three were sold off by the commissioners to local gentry (BARNES).
