The house was probably detached from the church before 1480, when it was entirely rebuilt (KERRY).

The church was re-furnished around 1654 (WILLIS).

There is a chest on the gallery with 3 locks:  keys held 1 by rector, 1 by each warden (MAUD AND HARVEY).

There is a plate in Trueman and Marston’s History of Ilkeston, 1899, of the church with an oil lamp.

There was a pot-bellied stove and paraffin lamps (MAUD AND HARVEY).

The church had a pipe organ with pedals, upstairs and a choir of 10 – 12 boys, 6 girls, who sat at the front, and 6 – 8 men.  The harmonium was installed on 13 Apr 1855, and was played by Christine Cross (MAUD AND HARVEY).

13 Apr 1855 installation of harmonium in church.  Years before, congregations of church and chapel together had raised money for a double bass, to be played in church on Sunday mornings, in chapel Sunday evenings.  The ‘Parish Council’ decided it was unsuitable, and sold it.  Then it installed the harmonium in the church, so the chapel had no musical accompaniment (West Notts and Derbys Recorder) (MAUD AND HARVEY).
