*Total 31 houses in Scotland and N. England, with 18 in the Midlands, 11 in S. England.
Some abbeys, others small priories and nunneries, and some no longer existed at the time of the suppression (WARD).
*30 abbeys, 3 nunneries, 6 cells, founded in England between 1143 and 1267 (C/WC, BARNES).
*31 abbeys, 2 nunneries in England, 6 houses Scotland, 6 Ireland CLAPHAM).

Some abbeys were moved from one site to another, eg Barlings, Beeleigh, Shap, Coverham and Leiston;  it was proposed to move St Radegund’s to the village of River, but it was never done;  Otham’s site was unsatisfactory, so its canons joined with those of Brackley to form the single foundation at Bayham (C/WC)..

By the 16th century the order still had 30 abbeys, 2 nunneries, 3 cells and Talley (C/WC).

The foundations are each detailed under their own title.
