Abbey Church - miscellaneous
Title: Ecclesia Sanctae Mariae de Parco Stanlei (WILLIS).
Relics: some of the girdle and milk of St Mary and the wheel of Catherine in silver. (WARD quoting the commissioners who probably invented this)..
Internal walls were whitewashed: some mouldings were coloured dark brown (WARD). All the mouldings were 1/8” thick with whitewash, and the south and east walls and high altar were also whitened. (H79)
